TabaPay Raises $155 Million Led By FTV Capital And Plans Acquisition Of Transact Bank

TabaPay, Inc., a leading money movement platform, announced a $155 million strategic growth financing led by FTV Capital, a global sector-focused growth equity firm with deep experience in payments and financial technology.

This financing includes both primary capital for the company and a secondary transaction. Alongside the transaction, TabaPay also announced its intent to acquire Transact Bank, N.A., an OCC-chartered and FDIC-insured bank based in Denver, Colorado.

The investment and planned acquisition will advance TabaPay’s commitment to offer superior client service and solutions through vertical integration and will strengthen its integrated payments and money movement capabilities. Following the acquisition, Transact Bank will be renamed TabaBank, N.A., and operate alongside TabaPay under TabaHoldings, Inc., a newly registered bank holding company.

“For nearly a decade, TabaPay has helped innovative fintech companies move money faster, more efficiently and more reliably,” said Rodney Robinson, co-founder and CEO of TabaPay. “The planned launch of TabaBank will bring payments and banking capabilities under one roof, offering our clients a more integrated experience while continuing to work alongside our network of bank partners. Together, TabaBank and FTV’s investment will expand our capabilities and help keep TabaPay at the forefront of payment innovation.”

TabaPay powers critical money movement infrastructure for leading fintechs, lenders, and other high-growth platforms. Through a single API, TabaPay enables instant payments and payouts across card and bank rails, helping customers reduce costs by up to 75%, improve reliability, and simplify complex payment workflows. With a network of more than 20 partner banks across the U.S. and Canada, the company is on track to process more than $100 billion in payment volume this year, ranks as the fifth-largest card-not-present processor by transaction count in the U.S., and serves one-third of American households.
